Immunomodulating activities of brazilinin vitro

This work was performed to investigate the effects of brazilinin vitro on mitogen-induced proliferation, ConA-induced TCGF release and responsiveness to recombinant IL-2 using splenocytes from C57BL/6 female mice. Brazilin, (20–80 ng/ml) caused a noticeable increase in TCGF production of splenocytes, but did not affect responsiveness to recombinant IL-2, the expression of ConA-induced high affinity IL-2 receptor and mitogen-induced proliferation of splenocytes.
