Growth and Raman spectroscopic characterization of TiO2 anatase single crystals

Abstract Large single crystals of the metastable anatase phase of titanium dioxide can be grown by chemical transport reactions with NH 4 Cl or HCl. They are characterized by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopic measurements. Anatase show remarkable physical properties notably different from rutile.
