Effects of Aerobic and Anaerobic Exercise on Anxiety of 60 Anxious Students in Zanjan_Iran

Abstract The aim of the present study to investigate the effect of aerobic and anaerobic exercise on anxiety of 60 high school students in district one in Zanjan. Research method: It is applied and quasi-experimental. Statistical population are all high school students in Zanjan area in 2009-2010. Simple random sampling is used through which three groups were randomly assigned as aerobic exercise - Anaerobic exercise and control groups. Statistical methods for testing hypotheses are repeated measure analysis of variance and dependent T-student. The results suggest that the anxiety in both aerobic and anaerobic exercise group significantly decreased after providing independent variable. While the reduction in the control group was not significant.
