This paper presents a new technique of surface hardening of steels consisting of a combined process of carbonyl plating by means of various alloying elements in nitriding, which allows the process at lower temperatures prevents warping of finished products and improving the mechanical properties of the surface that low-cost carbon and low alloy steels.
