Demonstration of a Highly Power-Efficient XPM-Based Discrete Multilevel Time-Lens

We propose a novel all-optical XPM-based time-lens design with high power efficiency. We demonstrate the concept by realizing the continuous-wave to pulse conversion of a probe signal, for which the required pump power is significantly lower than that for the conventional parabolic time-lens.
