İlahiyat Lisans Tamamlama Programının Verimliliği Üzerine Olgusal Bir Araştırma

In this study was aimed to investigate the functions, opportunities and effienciencies of distance higher religious education, in the case of Bachelor’s Degree Completion Program in Theology (ILITAM). The study uses a mix of methodologies including both the quantitative and qualitative methodology. The sampling of the study comprises 496 randomly selected students of ILITAM and 441 of the Faculty of Theology. A working group of 7 members consisting of faculty deans, program coordinators and academic members was established for the qualitative part of the study. This study shows that graduate students of ILITAM are perceived less qualified than graduate students of Theology by students and faculty members, that distance higher education is considered secondary than traditional higher religious education, and that, ILITAM is regarded necessary - without generalizing instead of formal theology education- thanks to the opportunities it provides
