This paper aims to evince the ‘fabrication’ of assessment as a cultural practice disciplining the conduct and inventing the student subject. The State as a ruler in education management through numeric technologies of the governmentality from the statistics will be significant for this analysis, in which the word governmentality will be taken in Foucauldian perspectives. In this sense, I will seek to show how education assessment has been another linchpin for this government policy, once it has anatomised students’ daily school life, and mainstream pedagogic orientations have regulated teachers’ pedagogic conducts.
