A rotor for an electrical machine

2010
The invention relates to a rotor for an electrical machine, comprising an about a rotation axis (R) rotatable rotor body (2) with a superconducting rotor winding and for cooling of the rotor winding (3, 4) provided for cooling arrangement with at least one pair of cooling tube loops (3, 4 ), which (on the rotor body 2) are arranged radially opposite substantially, whereby a cryogenic coolant into the cooling pipe loops (3, 4) during rotation of the rotor (2) about the rotation axis (R) in the axial direction (from a first axial end of the rotor 201) (to a second, opposite axial end of the rotor 2) and is transported back. The rotor according to the invention is characterized in that provided in the cooling arrangement one or more connecting tubes (6) connecting a cooling pipe loop (3) with the other cooling tube loop (4) of the at least one pair of cooling tube loops (3, 4).
