Ein Weg für klimagerechte Mobilität? Das Forschungsprojekt Renewbility

Within the framework of the research project "Renewbility", a climate protection scenario has been devised in colaboration with a range of companies. The measures envisaged involve the expansion, of the OPNV (local public transport) network, electro-mobility, and adjustments to CO 2 marginal values for private motor cars leading up to increases in road user charges for heavy vehicles and to higer fuel costs. A decrease in CO 2 emission of twenty-three per cent by the year 2030 appears to be possible not-withstanding any similar growth in traffic as per the basic scenario. Any reductions in emission are closely linked to ambitious transport policy-relayed mesures. It is against the background of the call for climate protection that questions should be asked about any further - or any more wide-ranging - measures, witch need to be addopted in oder to meet the federal government target of a forty per cent reduction in greenhouse gas emission by the year 2020. The object composition that has been developped in connection with the "Renewbility" project, offers a way of analyzing appropriate measures and of highlighting chances of futher reductions in emission.
