This is the first of two planned volumes designed to present the results of the latest research and debate on contemporary migration in Britain. They are both the product of the Working Party on Internal Migration set up in 1988 by the Institute of British Geographers. This volume consists of 14 papers by various authors which are organized under five headings: migration differentials migration and housing migration and employment migration and social change and the study of migration. The primary focus is on movement within the United Kingdom. (ANNOTATION)
