Treatment effect of application of oropharyngeal ventilation tube on coma patients with sroke

2011
Objective Explore the treatment effect of application of oropharyngeal ventilation tube on coma patients with sroke.Method 80 stroke patients with Glasgow coma scale from 3 to 8 points, have been cleared respiratory secretions, placed oropharyngeal ventilation tube, while strengthened airway management, observed breathing and blood oxygen saturation after admission. Results The ventilation function improved quickly after using oropharyngeal ventilation tube in all patients. In all patients, the average breathing frequency is 19.59±1.56 per minute after using oropharyngeal ventilation tube while is 30.00±2.16 per minute before and the average blood oxygen saturation is 97.85±0.93% after using oropharyngeal ventilation tube while is 84.95±3.77% before. The comparative difference is significant with P0.001.Conclusion Using oropharyngeal ventilation tube in coma patients with sroke can keep airway patency, alleviate the symptoms of oxygen, and it is helpful to the sputum aspiration and oral care operation, which is a simple, safe, economic and effective method worth popularization.
