Incessant Ventricular Tachycardia Causing Tachycardia-Induced Cardiomyopathy and Left Atrial Appendage Thrombus

2020
A 75-year-old male patient with ischemic cardiomyopathy and incessant ventricular tachycardia was referred for catheter ablation. Intraprocedural transesophageal echocardiogram demonstrated the presence of left atrial thrombus. In the appropriate clinical setting, ablation of ventricular tachycardia may be safely performed in the presence of intracardiac thrombus with a modified approach to minimize risk of embolization.
