The invention relates to a hand-held brush cutter with a transmission shaft (1) receiving the guide tube (2), with a transmission shaft (1) driving the drive motor (3) and with a drive motor (3) on the guide tube (2) fastened housing. The housing is provided as a drive motor (3) encompassing, closed motor housing (4). The drive motor (3) and the closed motor housing (4) are located on two mutually spaced fastening points (5, 6) joined together.
