Our Universities Matter

The new Labor Government is starting to roll out its agenda for universities. Already we have seen a number of important reviews being undertaken - the Innovation Review, the Review of Research Training and Scholarships, the Excellence in Research for Australia, replacing the RQF, and finally the Review of Australian Higher Education. The Government has also been closely consulting with what they term 'key stakeholders', and NTEU has built a strong and influential relationship with the Government, especially with Ministers Gillard and Carr.
