The paper presents optimization model for refrigerated containers supply chain taking into account the EU transport policy directions to 2050. The supply chain has been designed on basic co-modality principle. It includes waterborne transport by inland waterways, rail and road in proportion giving a chance to increase the transportation efficiency and pollution reduction in the environment.
