Controlled heat transfer in two-component magnetofluid systems

1993
Abstract This paper describes the effects of a magnetic field on heat transfer processes in two-component magnetofluid systems. It is shown that in such systems the effect on heat transfer is due to the instability of the flat interface between the two media, due to forming required configuration of this interface. It is found that, by applying an external magnetic field, the energy of the mechanical displacement of a nonmagnetic body in a magnetic fluid can be converted to electrical energy.
