Analgesic activity of stembark of Helicteres isora

The effects of methanolic extract of Helicteres isora were investigated in mice to evaluate the analgesic activity. Hot plate method and acetic acid - induced writhing model were employed to test the analgesic activity. The results indicated that the methanolic extract produced significant analgesic activity with respect to control.
