A River Undercrossing at Peterborough

1950
PETERBOROUGH, Ont., is divided into two parts by the Otonabee River, and approximately one-quarter of the population is in the eastern portion, known as "East City." The pumping station and supply mains are on the west side of the river. Prior to 1949 East City was supplied by two ing distribution facilities to spend time or money on improvements to service. In 1948, however, it was decided to install another supply main to East City, and various routes were considered.
