Liposarcoma, next to malignant fibrous histiocytoma, is the second most frequent soft tissue sarcoma in adults. It originates from multipotential primitive mesenchymal cells, rather than mature adipose tissue. Most of them are located in the retroperitoneum, lower extremities, its occurrence and reaching giant dimension within upper back are rare. Here it is presented an unusual case of giant liposarcoma, which metastasized from the right thigh to the right upper back in a male. The patient was operated by wide local excision of lesion and coverage with split-thickness skin graft. The resected tumor weighed 8500 gr and was 32 cm in largest diameter.
