A route retrieval device (10) of this invention stores fuel efficiency information included in probe information acquired by a plurality of probe vehicles (30) as fuel efficiency information associated with a given segment and a predetermined time unit in the segment which are related to each other and retrieves a recommended route extending from a departure place to a destination and including the segment on the basis of the associated fuel efficiency information.
