Complex Bladder Reconstruction

Laparoscopic complex bladder reconstruction procedures have been deemed too difficult to perform even in the hands of proficient laparoscopic surgeons. Yet, the introduction of the Robot has open the door for many cases, once felt too complex to be done laparoscopically to become feasible. This has certainly been true when it comes to complex bladder reconstruction in the pediatric population. In this chapter, we will discuss the technique as well as the current literature and outcome results on the subject.
