Dynamics of the electron structure of phthalide derivatives at the interaction with low-energy electrons
1997
Abstract By means of negative ion mass spectrometry (resonant electron capture spectra) the interaction of electrons (0–15 eV) with molecules of phthalide and its substitutes has been studied. These molecules model monomer links of polymers in which phenomena of charge instability are observed. An instability of CO-bond under interaction of molecule with low-energy electrons and, consequently, high probability of the bond cleavages have been found. It may explain unusual electrophysical properties of polyphthalidilidenarylenes.
