The invention provides an anti-shedding photocatalyst coating and a preparation method and application thereof. The anti-shedding photocatalyst coating is prepared from, by mass, a photocatalyst 10%-60%, a sealant for building 20%-45%, water 5%-50% and silica sol 5%-30%. The preparation method of the coating includes the following steps that 1, the sealant for building, the water and the silica sol in a raw material formula are weighed according to the mass ratio and then are mixed evenly; 2, the photocatalyst is added into the solution according to the mass proportion, and stirring is performed for not less than five hours to make the coating fully and evenly stirred and eliminate air bubbles, wherein the steps are executed at normal temperatures and pressures. The invention further provides application of the anti-shedding photocatalyst coating on the aspects of water treatment, air purification or antibiosis. The coating is simple in preparation process and convenient to produce industrially. The sealant for building is removed at high temperature in the heat treatment process to enable the photocatalyst to be exposed outside, the catalytic activity of the photocatalyst is fully played, and meanwhile the phenomenon that the photocatalyst degrades an organic binding agent and accordingly catalyst shedding is caused is avoided.
