Effectiveness of combing airdrop and mobile devices in word card teaching

Language ability is crucial. There are many ways to learn a language. One way combines words with games, known as word card learning, to stimulate learning. It has been recognized as an effective and widely used learning method. Currently, most word card teaching makes use of physical cards. However, there are problems with its use and preservation which affects teaching quality and effectiveness. In this paper, a digital word card is proposed using the smart device interactions and AirDrop functions to resolve the word card problem. A comparison is made between the game results for the digital word card and paper word card to ascertain the suitability of digitizing word cards. This research showed that digital word cards can be effectively preserved and updated; it also enhanced learning. Teachers using the digital word cards can maintain a better teaching environment and to focus on teaching. The digital ward card may allow teachers to have higher teaching quality and performance.
