Therapeutische Cerclage als Verlängerung der Tragedauer vom Zeitpunkt der Diagnosefeststellung bis zur Entbindung bei prolabierter Fruchtblase

2002
Objective: Pregnancies complicated by cervical insufficiency with prolapse of the fetal membranes almost inevitably end in premature delivery. We reviewed the results of treatment of patients with prolapsed fetal membranes and compared conservative management with cerclage. Methods: A total of 23 patients with cervical insufficiency (cervical length < 6 mm), with a cervix dilated to 2-3 cm, and prolapsed fetal membranes treated between 1997 and 2001 were reviewed. History, age, infection status, interval between diagnosis and delivery, and neonatal outcome were analyzed. Results: Ten patients underwent cerclage and 13 were managed conservatively. The interval between diagnosis and delivery was significantly longer for patients treated with cerclage (50 vs. 15 days, P = 0.04). Conclusion: Cerclage may prolong pregnancy in patients with cervical insufficiency and prolapsed fetal membranes.
