Specific nonionic surfactants in hand dishwashing detergents

1994
The invention concerns the use of non-ionic surfactants of formulae (Ia) or (Ib), in which R represents a saturated or unsaturated straight-chain or branched C6-C18 alkyl group, m is a number between 0.1 and 3, preferably 0.5 to 2, and n is a number between 1 and 16, preferably 3 to 12, as surfactants with the property of enhancing cleansing power, stabilising foam, reducing cold clouding and stabilising viscosity in aqueous washing up liquids used for hand washing. Hand washing up liquids which, in addition to the above non-ionic surfactants, contain alkyl sulphates and alkyl ether sulphates are claimed in particular.
