Physiological indices and blood cell morphology of the cage raised Gallus spadiceus.

2010
We selected cage raised male red jungle fowl(Gallus spadiceus) with different origins as the objects to study the blood physiological indices including red blood cell, thrombocyte, white blood cell and some others at different time of the day by means of conventional methods with biological microscope for observing and analyzing the blood cell morphology. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the total number of red blood cells among the different origins tested in the evening(P0.05) time, whereas there was significant difference(P0.05) at other periods of time. The total number of white blood cells varied significantly at the all test time among the different origins(P0.05).The number of acidophilic granulocyte changed significantly among the different origins only in the evening(P0.05) time, while there was no significant difference(P0.05) in this index tested at other periods of time.Regarding microscopic blood cell morphology, the blood cells looked alike for the different origins at different test times,it was put forward that the difference in living habits at the early stage would not lead to the change in the microstructure morphology of the blood cells of Gallus spadiceus.
