Characterizing multispectral vertical profiles of aerosol extinction with surface-based measurements

This paper links surface-based particle counts, meteorological observations, and a validated atmospheric radiative transfer code, to yield multispectral quantifications of aerosol optical depth, transmission, and vertical extinction regardless of clouds, weather or sun position.
