Aim To study single herba granular formulation production of Radix Paeoniae Alba by water extract-alcohol precipitation.Methods With extracting rate and paeoniflorin content as the index,the orthogonal experiment was used to select effects of the hydrothermal treatment,alcohol consistence optimized by single factor investigation and best technology determined of single herba granular formulation production of Radix Paeoniae Alba.Results The optimum water extraction process was as follows: for the first time adding water 8 times of quantity,soaked 1 hour,boiling 1.5 hours,and for the second time adding water 6 times of quantity,boiling 1.5 hours again.The optimum alcohol precipitation process is as follows: the density of concentrated decoction reaching 1.10~1.12(70-75℃)and then precipitated by alcohol at the concentration of 60 %,blending,the alcohol deposited for 24 hours.Conclusion The technology can ensure the effective components saved to the maximum.
