Influence of the composition of the flexible segments on the structure and properties of polyurethanes

The authors have studied by small angle X-ray scatter and scanning calorimetry the segmented PUs the flexible component of which was a mixture of an oligoether and oligoester. It is shown that successive change in MM and polarity of the flexible segment helps to vary in a directed manner the relationship between the structure and properties of a segmented PU.
