ART in Endometriosis

Endometriosis, a common, benign gynecologic condition, may cause pelvic pain, infertility, or both. This disease will induce mainly a quantitative damage on the ovaries, although some evidence shows lower quality of the oocytes as well. Thus, lower pregnancy rates might be expected after ART. Surgery is indicated if pain is impacting quality of life, specially in young women. Fertility preservation might be considered prior to surgical removal of cysts.
