A new method and design of the device a uniform flow distribution over the cross section of the apparatus based on self-organization are proposed. The device for experimental determination of the coefficient of hydraulic resistance of a short diffuser, which is an important element of the switchgear is developed. It is thoroughly proved that the coefficient of hydraulic friction of the tube can be calculated by means of the known literature equation. The coefficients of hydraulic resistance at the entrance to the tube and the tube exit have constant values.
