A study of the influence of the structure of rigid blocks on the structure and properties of segmented polyurethanes

1985
Abstract It has been shown, using several structural-mechanical methods that by a change in polarity, thermodynamic flexibility and degree of affinity of the structural elements of the rigid block, the degree of segragation of blocks of various rigidities can be changed. As a result of this, the physico-mechanical properties of segmented polyurethanes can be affected. The dimensions of the transitional layers at the segmented phase boundaries depend inversely on the extent of microphase separation.
