Academic Education Involvement in Refinery Advanced Process Control

Abstract The paper presents the achievements of Automatic Control, Computers and Electronics Department of Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti in the direction of developing the skills for the engineers’ activity in the field of Refinery Advanced Process Control. In order to reach this objective, the teachers of the department have developed the specializations of Bachelor, Master and Doctorate in the field of Systems Engineering, a research area recognized in Romania. The paper is structured in four parts, each part presenting the organization of the education process and the obtained results.
