The Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules and their future

This paper has two primary goals. It will outline the past, present and future development of AACR2 with particular emphasis on the directions provided by the 1997 International Conference on the Principles and Future Development of AACR and it will highlight international cooperation as a significant element in the development and the future of the code
