Power supply cable for a sensor

1995
A connecting line for a measurement sensor (10), in particular for determining the oxygen content of exhaust fumes from internal combustion engines, has connecting cables (16) that extend out of a metallic housing (12), have an electric insulation (23) and are surrounded by a metallic outer tube (19). The insulation (23) of the connecting cables (16) consists of a fabric made of a high temperature resistant material, for example glass or ceramic fibres. The outer tube (19) is welded in a gas-tight manner to the housing (12). A line section (15) with connecting cables (16) is provided at the side of the measurement sensor and a line section (17) with connecting cables (18) is provided at the connector side. An interface (20) for a contact connection (26) is located between these sections (15, 17) for contacting the connecting cables (16) at the side of the measurement sensor and the connecting cables (18) at the side of the connector. The contact connection (26) is encased in a sealing element (30) and the sealing element (30) has a cavity (31) through which air can be led into the outer tube (19).
