Vascular Complications of Patients in Kuwait with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (NIDDM) and Elevated Serum Lipid Peroxides

Vascular complications (VC) are important clinical sequalae of diabetes mellitus (DM). The affected vessels can be macrovascular (cerebral, coronary, peripheral) or microvascular (retinal, renal, neural) in caliber. In a pilot project, we have analyzed VC in 174 Kuwaitis with NIDDM. We were interested in a systems analysis of VC and report such an analysis, showing prevalence of combinations of VC and profiles of affected patients.
