Preparation and properties of vanadium-doped SnO2 nanocrystallites

2000
Abstract The vanadium-doped SnO 2 nanocrystalline powder was synthesized by the co-precipitation method from the vanadium (V) oxytrichloride and tin (IV) chloride. The preparation conditions were investigated, such as the concentration of the reactants, pH, the surfactant, the amount of vanadium-doped powder, the reactive temperature and time. The crystal size, morphology and properties of the nanocrystalline powders were examined by differential thermal analysis (DTA), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. The effect of the crystal size of the sample on the properties of vanadium-doped SnO 2 nanocrystalline powder was discussed.
