Pharmakokinetik der Aminoglykoside: Retrospektive Auswertung einer Patientendatenbank der Apotheke Klinikum Nürnberg

In a retrospective study we evaluated a database with pharmacokinetic data from patients treated with gentamicin and amikacin. The descriptive statistics of pharmacokinetic parameters were applied on 4 469 patients. Furthermore we made a stratified evaluation for distinct patient groups. We choose age, sex, intensive therapy and application time as grouping criteria. The results show statistically significant differences between groups for some of the stratification criteria and allow an optimisation of therapeutic drug monitoring for aminoglycosides. The study proves again that a safe aminoglycoside therapy can be performed only after individual evaluation of pharmacokinetic parameters with therapeutic drug monitoring.
