Educating Our Students

2020
Individuals who have been trafficked receive services from a wide range of healthcare professionals at all levels of experience; however, few health professional students receive any training on how to identify or care for a person who has been trafficked. Using a clinical case involving an adolescent trafficked for labor, the chapter reviews critical components of clinical care to teach health professional students. Additionally, the chapter reviews trends in human trafficking medical education, how it can be assessed and compared, and what the future of human trafficking medical education might hold.
