Artillery Delivery of LWIM Systems

2000
Abstract : The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)-funded Low-Power Wireless Integrated Microsensors (LWIM) program is a partnership between the UCLA Department of Electrical Engineering and the Rockwell Science Center directed to the co-development and commercialization of LWIM for military applications. LWIM will provide a network of distributed, autonomous, low-power microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) sensors and actuators coupled with a wireless network. This report discusses issues associated with artillery deployment of the system and proposes a round to accomplish this task.
