The great koala national park: We're acting now to save an Australian icon

The koala is arguably Australia's most iconic animal but it's in serious trouble. In 20 years (just three koala generations) the population has plummeted by a third. This decline has resulted in its listing in 2012 as vulnerable under the federal Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act. If these trends continue koalas won't be a familiar sight to future Australian generations.
