Method and apparatus for altering the flight path of ink droplets

2005
The invention relates to a method of altering the flight path of ink droplets that are generated from a particular continuously operating printhead and emitted, wherein the ink droplets are electrostatically charged, and subsequently by at least one electric field in a first deflection in one plane are deflected from an original trajectory wherein the ink drop (11) at least a second deflector (30) are deflected in the same plane by at least one electric field. The invention further relates to an inkjet printing device for in particular continuous emission of electrostatically charged ink droplets in an original trajectory with a first deflector for deflecting the charged ink droplets in a plane from the original trajectory, at least one second deflector (30) is provided, by means of which ink drops (11) can be deflected in the same plane.
