A high power pulse rate sealable carbon dioxide laser using a new photoionization technique

1982
The uses of carbon dioxide TEA lasers in aerospace applications are restricted by a lack of suitable sources. For such applications the laser tube should be sealable, compact and have a high reliability and lifetime. A typical aerospace application is in range-finding, where short pulse duration and high pulse rate may be required. The uses of carbon dioxide TEA lasers in aerospace applications are restricted by a lack of suitable sources.
