Construction Method Of Geomembrane Core Rockfill Dam

2016
The present invention relates to a construction method of a core rockfill dam using a waterproof sheet and, more specifically, to a construction method of a core rockfill dam using a waterproof sheet which lays a waterproof sheet in a dam body in a zigzag shape without forming a separate core zone, and repeats dam body soil compaction and heat fusion adhesion between waterproof sheets to improve constructability and watertightness. According to a proper embodiment of the present invention, the construction method of a core rockfill dam using a waterproof sheet comprises: (a) a step of excavating in a reversed trapezoidal cross section to form an inclined surface on an upstream side and a downstream side to form a foundation unit; (b) a step of laying a waterproof sheet on the inclined surface of the downstream side; (c) a step of building with a building material in a prescribed thickness to form an upward inclined surface towards the upstream side of an upper portion of the inclined surface of the foundation unit to form a first layer; (d) a step of laying a waterproof sheet on the inclined surface of the first layer and fuse the waterproof sheet into the waterproof sheet previously laid below; (e) a step of building in a prescribed thickness to form an upwards inclined surface towards the downstream side on an upper end of the inclined surface of the first layer to form a second layer; (f) a step of repeating steps (b) to (d) to lay waterproof sheets in a zigzag shape in steps to construct a layer of a required height; and (g) a step of building the building material on an upper portion of an uppermost layer to finish.
