STM observations of hydrogen-induced Pb clustering on Pb/Si(111) systems

× -Pb (β), (γ) surfaces. For both -Pb (β) and (γ) surfaces, Pb atoms formed clusters whose height is estimated to be about 2-4 atomic layers, consistent with previous ion scattering results. We also discuss the difference of both hydrogen-induced structures in detail.
