The dental high-speed air turbine handpiece is the most popular device in clinical dentistry as a denture cutting tool. Developing the air turbine handpiece is important and it is studied by using computational fluid dynamics. The effects of the air turbine blade shape are investigated for optimum design. The moving mesh method is applied to find the torque through mesh convergence study. The pressure and torque values are obtained in the each blade shape considered. The blade shape is optimized by comparing the torque value of each blade shape.
