Study on the law between convergence ratio and spot parameters in magnetorheological finishing with sinusoidal structures

This paper takes a two-dimensional sinusoidal structures as workpiece,and reverse transformation as machining approach,and the effect of polishing spot parameters,as length,width and peak removal rate,on the periodic surface is explored.The simulation result reveals that when the width of polishing spot is less than half of the spatial period,the convergence ratio exceed 2,which makes the polishing more effective.
