The invention discloses a single pump type lithium bromide absorption unit which comprises an evaporator (1). A heat exchange pipe bundle of the evaporator is divided into a plurality of units from top to bottom, and each unit comprises a lower row of heat exchange pipes (81) and an upper row of heat exchange pipes (82), wherein the lower row of heat exchange pipes (81) and the upper row of heat exchange pipes (82) are sequentially distributed from bottom to top. Water ponds (83) are arranged on the lower portions of the lower rows of heat exchange pipes (81), overflow pipes (84) used for controlling the water level of the water ponds are arranged inside the water ponds, and overflow pipes are arranged on the lower portions of the upper rows of heat exchange pipes and are 0 mm to 2 mm away from the middles of the upper rows of heat exchange pipes. According to the single pump type lithium bromide absorption unit, on the conditions that a cryogen recirculation system is omitted based on an existing lithium bromide absorption unit and only one solution pump is arranged, multistage immersion type evaporation heat exchange and agitation heat exchange of the heat exchange pipe bundle of the evaporator are utilized, the heat in the heat exchange pipe bundle is transferred to cryogen water, heat transfer and agitation of the cryogen water are facilitated, the damping effect is achieved for splash of the cryogen water, and the cryogen water is evaporated thoroughly.
