The Influence of Alternating Constituent on Properties Formation of Ceramic Materials on TiN Basis During Electro-Discharge Sintering

2003
As shown scientific researches, the composition materials (CM) on the basis of refractory connections (for example, TiN) with enough fine (ultradispersion) structure have the rise mechanical properties on 20–40%. Reception of CM with ultradispersion structural elements (for example, as more hard inclusions) requires employing of unconventional approaches [1]. The method for the obtaining of powder-like compositions with ultradispersion components or inclusions with the sufficient compactness of CM is the method of electro discharge sintering (EDS) (developed in IPMS NAS of Ukraine). The EDS method this is high-rate process, possibility do not apply protective atmosphere, varying of method of mechanical loading, to change type of power influence, i.e. strength and character of electric current (direct, alternating and their superposition) [2]. Researches of influence of electric current of different character (direct current, direct + alternating (their superposition)) for powder-like compositions on basis TiN–TiB2, TIN – AlN are carry out. The hardness, fracture strength and metallographic researches, mechanical tests for workability are showing the unlike of properties for CM under difference power actions. The complex power action allows increasing mechanical properties of CM up to 8–10%.
